She taught and gave me more than I could ever ask for in a companion. 15 years of sweet honest love that will be cherished for life. There is no comparison to your unconditional love.....and the loving look you gave me, day after day.....just by walking in the room. The Inspiration
Lily was the sole inspiration to opening the Downtown Dog Lounge, nearly 10 years ago. At a very healthy 5
years of age, other than few allergies, she survived BLOAT http://www.globalspan.net/bloat.htm Bloat is
the 2nd leading killer of canines, behind cancer.....and lung cancer, along with old age, is what finally took her
life on Wednesday, January 4th. Our experience together, encouraged me to quit my job to be with her, and
to create a place that people could feel comfortable leaving their dog. Her crazy food obsessions and
Weimar-like anxieties prompted me to really analyze how we care for our pooch clients. I understand the love
between a dog and their human, thanks to Lily and all that she gave me. I thank all of our clients for giving us
a chance, and letting us love your pet as we do our own. After all, there is no love...quite like pooch love.
We would also like to pay tribute to those others we have lost recently.
We are sure that Heaven's Gate has a doggie door.
